Call for brave thrill-seekers!

If you're looking for an exciting adventure and you would like to fundraise for a worthy cause, then look no further! A group of skydivers are looking for 5 more participants to join them in taking part in a Charity Tandem Skydive on 18th September 2017.

WHERE WILL THE SKYDIVE TAKE PLACE?

The event will take place at Langar Airfield, near Nottingham.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

Don't worry, you won't be sent up on the plane without training! On the day you will have an experienced instructor who will take you through everything you need to know i.e. equipment, the actual skydive and the landing. You will be given appropriate clothing including the goggles and harness. After you have boarded the plane, it will take 20 minutes to reach the required altitude. You will be strapped to your instructor and get ready to leap out of the plane at about 13,500 feet. The best bit? Jumping off and experiencing the wind in your face at over 120 mph before your instructor deploys the parachute at 5,000 feet. Imagine that incredible view as you float back down to earth!

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?

It is free to participate as long as you raise a minimum of £395. We will support you with your fundraising and setting up of your online Golden Giving account.

WHO ARE THE RAISED FUNDS FOR?

The raised funds will cover the cost of your sky dive with £215 going towards those involved in organising the skydiving event, plane, equipment with the rest going towards Zebra Access.

Please note that for tandem skydives you will need to meet the following criteria in order to be eligible to participate.

-Weigh no more than 15 stones/210 pounds fully clothed.

-Be over 18 years old.

-Obtain advice from your doctor if you have medical issues that you are uncertain about.

"It is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to try something different whilst raising money for an excellent cause, as the money raised will go towards delivering much needed new projects/services such as a Be-Friending scheme and activities for the local Deaf community. I am looking forward to the adrenaline rush of freefalling 120 mph out of a plane and enjoying the wonderful views." - Chris Beech, Project Development and Training Officer
